Money is typically our number one source of stress. Multiple research supports that fighting about money in the first five years of marriage is a stronger predictor of divorce than fighting about topics such as sex, the children or in-laws.
In 2011, The Journal of Financial Therapy published a ground-breaking article which identified that we all have “money scripts”. These are defined as “unconscious, trans-generational beliefs about money” that are “developed in childhood and drive adult financial behaviours”.
During this thought-provoking and lively webinar, U.K. psychotherapist Gavin Sharpe will invite participants to reflect on their own money scripts. Drawing on his own professional background in business, Gavin will offer a definition of financial wellbeing and provide some tools to manage financial stress and anxiety.
