Why Childhood Matters: Gavin Sharpe on Riviera Radio, May 5th 2021

Our childhood matters.  It shapes who we are.  It impacts the development of our brains.  It defines how we love and to an extent, who we love.  We are all healing from our childhood wounds.  The extent to which we process our early wounds correlates with our mental health. Unprocessed wounds leave scars.

Listen to Gavin Sharpe’s appearance on The Full English Breakfast Show on Riviera Radio, May 5th, 2021.  Gavin discusses how the past impacts our present, whether there is such a thing as the perfect childhood and what parents can do to foster an environment which will lead to a child feeling securely attached.

Listen to Gavin take questions from listeners including what it was like growing up with an alcoholic father, what it means if we cannot remember our childhood memories and what makes healthy parenting…and much more.
